Make Your Home a Language Learning Center

Reading books isn’t the only way kids learn language skills: music, games, and movies also offer great opportunities to expand their vocabulary. Have a music minute during after-school snack time. Let them listen to a song and then talk about why they like it. Have CDs on hand so you can pop one in the player at various points during the day.
