Make Yarn-Art Flowers

Cut up scraps of yarn into different lengths. This can also work with ribbon. On a piece of paper, draw the shape of what your child wants (such as a flower) with some white glue. Have your child choose pieces of yarn and show her how to press it down into the glue to create the patterned design. When she gets the hang of it, she can squirt the glue herself in lines and swirls and squiggles to make her own free-form yarn art.
