Make a Found Art Sculpture
Encourage your child to collect leaves, twigs, grasses, pinecones, and acorns on your next hike. When you get back home, pull out the glue gun and twine and help your kid design a sculpture with the materials. Perhaps the pinecone collection is just begging to be a robot, or the impressive twig collection lends itself nicely to a picture frame.
