Make a Commemorative Plate

Does your child have a special occasion coming up, such as a birthday? Celebrate the occasion by painting a commemorative plate together at a local pottery studio. Ask her to take her time painting each layer, and make sure she follows the directions carefully. Have your child sign the finished product, too, and include the date.
