Made to Measure

Gather some measuring devices, plastic cups, measuring spoons, and other utensils. In a large bowl, you and your child can scoop, measure, and pour out water, dried beans, or uncooked rice. Use a second bowl to show how much rice the big cup can hold versus the small spoon. The science part of the activity can also involve banging bowls.
