Look for Definitions to Figure Out Tough Vocabulary

Definitions are an easy way to figure out difficult vocabulary. If your child finds a tricky word, direct him to search for an actual definition in the text. Example: "Mr. James uses copious visual aids in class - so many, his students learned the material super fast." The definition of the tricky word, copious, is right in the sentence: so many.
