Light or Heavy? Slow or Fast?

You may notice, in your child’s second year, that she’s adjusting how she reaches for objects depending on how far away the thing is, and how fast or slow it’s coming toward her. You may also notice that she holds heavier and lighter things with a different grip, as she understands that it takes less “hold” to pick up a tissue versus her doll. All this shows a growing awareness of measurement.
