Letter Mosaics

Gather up old magazines and catalogs, or any printed matter, and cut out as many discrete letters as you can find. (You can do this any time and keep your letter stash in a zippered bag.) Help your child identify and then glue down letters on paper to create a mosaic. To make the project more specific, you can search for just one letter, or just the letters of her name. This fun learning activity teaches many lessons, including creativity and letter recognition.
