Let Your Child Play Architect in the Backyard

Instead of flattening the biggest boxes (from moving day, delivery of appliances and other larger items), tape them shut and stack them outside for a day of build-it-up-then-knock-it-down play. You’ll have to help, of course, but soon your child will begin to understand things like putting larger boxes on the bottom and smaller ones on top.
