Learning at the Grocery Store

Many concepts learned at school can be reinforced on a trip to the grocery store. As you put items in your cart, have your child add up the prices. Play with the produce scale and discuss the concept of weight. Read the labels on the aisles and have a scavenger hunt. Finally, identify food groups and make sure your cart has food from each one.
