Language Skills: 24 Months

Though every child develops at a different pace, here are a few skills your two-year-old might be able to do: use at least two prepositions (most commonly in, on, under). He may use short sentences. His speech is about two-thirds comprehensible and he has a vocabulary of 150 to 300 words. He may respond to commands such as “show me your nose.”
