Keep a Box of Craft Supplies on Hand

Does your child frequently complain about being bored? Keep a box of craft supplies on hand, including special markers, stickers, paints, foam cut-outs, and more. When your child complains of being bored, take out the box and encourage him to come up with his own creations. It might be a piece of artwork, a prototype for a new design, or a variation of his favorite piece of art. Be sure to compliment his efforts and acknowledge the creativity his artwork shows.
