Just Beat It

One of the foundations of music is learning how to count out a beat and keep rhythm. But learning to count in time can be somewhat boring, so spice it up by giving your child a wooden spoon with an array of pots and pans. Start a counting game, keeping her in time. Once she’s comfortable counting out time, pick a simple song and join her in clapping out the rhythm.
