Junior Journaling

Journaling isn’t just for grownups. Keeping a journal encourages kids to explore their feelings and enjoy writing without pressure. Have your kids choose their journals, as well as any brightly colored pens, glitter sticks, or whatever writing implements appeal to them. Let them know they can write about anything, but feel free to prompt them if they get stuck. For example, ask: What was your favorite part of today? What scares you most? This should be a fun activity, so no rules on how often or how long to journal. If they’re artistic, suggest they add drawings. And promise not to look unless they want to share!
