Try this simple science activity with your child. All you’ll need is a bottle of soda and a balloon. Open the bottle and quickly put the end of the balloon over the spout. Then watch as the balloon begins to inflate! All those fizzy bubbles are carbon dioxide gas trapped within the liquid; when those invisible gases are exposed to the air, they are powerful enough to blow up a balloon.
