Invent Your Own Story Starters

Story starters are sentences designed to start an interesting and unusual story. Share some ideas with your child, and ask her to come up with a few of her own. Write them down and put the story starters in a jar or bag. In the future, when your child is looking for something to do, ask her to pull out a story starter and begin writing.
