A Homemade Guitar

Combine a musical activity and art project by crafting this simple guitar. Take an empty shoebox, and cut a hole in the cover, the way a real guitar has a hollow center. Attach the lid to the box. Stretch different-width elastic bands around the box. Show your child how to strum the bands and observe the different twangs they make.
