Ignite your children’s interest in woodshop at a young age. Bring them to a store that stocks children’s tools, or look online. Let them pick out a hammer, a tape measure, some wood nails, a small wood saw, screws, and a screw driver. They can experiment with some scrap wood and try building a simple project, like a birdhouse, to familiarize themselves with the basics.
