Hold a Yard Sale With Your Child's Help

Scheduling an annual yard sale will motivate your entire family to sort through their things and part with items they no longer use, need, or enjoy. Decide up front how you'll spend the proceeds of the sale. For example, will each child be able to spend what he or she earns, or will all the money go toward a family outing or vacation?
