Helping Children Learn Patience

Patience is a skill that can be taught. Talk to your child about what patience is. In a situation, teach her to ride out her emotions rather than react. Do long-term projects together to encourage waiting, such as a puzzle. And most importantly, be a good role-model -- practice patience yourself!
