Help Your Child Set Learning Goals

When your child brings home his report card, take the time to read over all of the comments together. Compliment your child on his strengths and efforts, and ask him to share his goals for the upcoming semester. Help him to create some actionable objectives and keep track of his progress throughout the semester. Ask him to share his goals with his teacher, as well, so that she can encourage him along the way.
