Help Your Child Set a Class Participation Goal

Help your shy child by setting this goal for participation: he should raise his hand during a question and answer in class until called upon. Then, he is off the hook. Your quiet kid can sit and listen for the rest of the period. Be sure to inform your child’s teacher about the goal, so the instructor can also encourage participation.
