Help Your Child Make Scientific Observations

In your backyard or a park, let your child observe the world around him. Focus on the five senses: hearing, sight, smell, taste, and touch. Talk about what enhances senses. For example, closing your eyes enhances your hearing. Ask your child to predict how coming to the same location at a different time of day might change his observations.
