Help Your Child Identify Patterns

Start pointing out patterns you notice to your child. Tell her that multiples of five end in fives or zeros, and ask her to point out similar patterns. Explain that patterns can help us make predictions. For example, if we were counting off by two's, what would the 50th number be? Once your child shares her prediction, help her write it out on paper to verify her answer.
