Have Your Child Read Out Loud Regularly

As your child gets older, make sure that she continues to read out loud often. This practice will help her develop consistent fluency as she reads. Oral reading will also help her maintain strong comprehension skills – whether she's reading silently, audibly, or listening to someone else read. Encourage her to read aloud on a long road trip or read to a younger sibling.
