Your local market is filled with opportunities to introduce everyday number use and concepts. Together, as you shop, you can: let your child help you weigh fruits and vegetables, ask him to pick out three red apples, and ask him to tell you which is the larger size of a product you’re looking at, such as boxes of cereal or crackers.
