Got Change?

Empty your change jar or purse, and teach your child what each coin is called and what currency it represents (she doesn’t have to get it right all the time; it’s mostly for early recognition). As she grows, make the lessons more sophisticated. Eventually, when you have enough change gathered, take it to a bank and exchange it for paper cash.
