Good School-Day Habits Start Now

If your child is in preschool, you can establish school-day habits that teach responsibility. Even if he’s still at home, you can set the tone for a routine that will set your child up for success later on. For instance, if you go out during the day, have him hang up his jacket on a hook when he returns home, as he will in school. If your child does art projects at home or in a daycare or school, unpack the finished works from his backpack, review them, and decide what you’ll display and what you’ll save. You might also, just for fun, pack a lunch or snack in a lunchbox, even if he’ll be eating it at home!
