Go to the Zoo at Night

To give your child a different zoo experience, contact your local zoo and ask whether they offer nighttime hours. Some zoos hold nighttime hikes and even sleepovers for families who want to learn about animals' nighttime behaviors. Ask kids to bring a flashlight and a journal to record the different sounds they hear on your adventure.
