Richard Peck’s “Ghosts I Have Been” and “The Ghost Belonged to Me” are both great reads to offer children when they are beginning to understand science-fiction. Also sprinkled with history (Civil War memories, Titanic tales, etc.), these two novels will introduce brand new events that can later be explored through true historical research.
