Fraction War for Middle Schoolers
Try playing a round of Fraction War. Using a deck of cards, remove the face cards and assign aces as 1s. Deal the cards facedown evenly between you and your child. Then, start a war. Each player turns over two cards and tries to make the smallest fraction by laying the cards vertically in any order. Winner takes all four cards and you continue until one player has all the cards.
