Fine-Motor Sorting Activity

You might think this is a “cheesy” idea, but it’s actually a great way to help your child hone fine-motor skills and practice hand-eye coordination. Give her a plastic grated-cheese shaker (easily found in dollar stores if you don’t have one) and a bunch of toothpicks. Show her how to pick up the sticks and slip them into the holes in the jar. Colored toothpicks can be fun, too.
