Fairy Tales From Another Character's Perspective

Ask your child what her favorite fairy tale is. Chat about the plot and then give the prompt: "Rewrite your favorite fairy tale, making a different character the focus." In Cinderella, perhaps one of the two ugly stepsisters could tell the story. Writing from a different perspective encourages your child to think about the story in a different way.
