Estimation Station

Estimation – how many, for example – is a foundational early math skill. To practice, get a child-size wagon or cart, and a bunch of toys. Ask your child to estimate: how many blocks will fit in the wagon? How many trucks will you need to fill that cart? After he guesses, help him see how close his estimation was, counting as you go.
