Establish Homework Rules

Studying is a learned skill, and for some kids, mastering it requires help! Allot a specific amount of time for your child to work based on that night's amount of homework.  If necessary, set a timer. Assign a homework location, preferably away from the hustle of the household. Establish rules like no texting, Facebook (ages 13 and up), or phone calls until completion.
