Easy Sensory Sand Play

Got a sandy playground, a local beach, or an at-home sand table? Use the sand to teach your child how different textures feel, and build observation skills. Cover your own hand with sand and say, “Where is Mommy’s hand?” Do the same with her hand, or with toys. Pour sand slowly out of a cup or bowl. Add water and see what happens.
