Don't Forget to Come Back!

It’s date night for Mom and Dad, but their young daughter is none too happy about the news that a babysitter is coming. Her first reaction is to announce that she’s coming with them; when that doesn’t work, she details all of the tragedies that might befall her when they’re gone—storms, disease, and (wouldn’t you just know it) a moose attack. When the babysitter, Sarah, arrives, our young heroine is quickly won over as the two partake in a night full of adventures.  This humorous tale tenderly allays a common childhood fear by reassuring kids that parents do, indeed, come back after a night away from home. By Robie H. Harris, illustrated by Harry Bliss.
