Domino Place Value

Dominoes are a great mathematical tool. Try this easy activity: Pull a domino out of a bag. When you hold the domino horizontally, it can be seen as a 2-digit number. Turn it around and the domino can transform into a totally different number. Put two dominoes next to each other and it’s a 4-digit number! There are lots of questions you can ask your child with the help of a domino: Which number is greater? How many tens? How many ones?
