Discuss Learning Personalities With Your Child's Teacher

If you feel your child has a particular learning personality that is being under-emphasized in the classroom, speak with her teacher about it. For example, if you've observed that your child is a visual learner, ask the teacher to consider providing visual cues as she gives directions or explains an assignment. If your child is a kinesthetic learner, ask the teacher to provide opportunities to learn by doing, in addition to reading and writing. Making sure that your child's learning personality is included in the classroom will help her learn more effectively and feel included.
