Create a Family Tree

Explain to your child what a family tree is, and work together to create one that represents your family's history. Be sure to include several generations, and ask your child to come up with some creative ideas for displaying the family tree in your home. For example, you might paint a tree and glue pictures of each person on top of it, or you might make a three-dimensional tree and hang miniature photos from its branches. You can also print these family tree templates. As you work together, discuss your family's history and encourage your child to make a list of questions he’d like to ask other members of the family.
