Crayon Melt-and-Mix Project

Take a look at your child’s crayon box, remove all the labels, and try this crayon-recycling project. Have your child help you break up the crayons into the smallest bits she can. Distribute a mix of colors into metal cookie cutters and set on a cookie sheet. Put in the oven preheated to 275 degrees F for 10 minutes. Next, remove from the oven and set aside to cool completely. Then, pop the new crayons out of the cookie cutter and share with your child. Voila! New crayons.
