Count Your Steps

Going for a walk to the local park? Or just down the hall to the kitchen for a snack? Count your steps as you and your little one walk. Your toddler might not be able to get past three (or four or more, depending on her age and interest), but she gets the idea that, say, the trip to the kitchen is a lot shorter than the one to the park.
