Count the Beat of Your Heart

Ask your child to estimate how many times his heart beats in a minute. If he says that he counts the number of beats for 60 seconds, challenge him to come up with alternatives. Try counting the number of beats in 10 seconds and multiplying that number by 6 or counting the number of beats in 15 seconds, and multiplying that number by 4.
