Cooking With Your Child Is Both Fun and Helpful

Many concepts that children learn in school can be reinforced in the kitchen, including math, science, and social studies. Start small and supervise carefully. As your child progresses, encourage him to cook his favorite foods. (Thanksgiving is a great time for him to him to practice measuring and mixing.) For "graduation," have him host a "Restaurant Night" at home, complete with homemade menus.
