Cause and Effect

A concept that is second nature to you – cause and effect – is something your child has to learn. Help him by cluing him in when you perform an action that has a direct effect. Announce: ‘I’m going to turn the light on now!” as you flip the switch and he sees the light. Or, “What’s going to happen now? Mommy is turning the crank on your jack-in-the-box…” and out pops the clown!
