Build Clean Up Routines Into the Day

It's officially summer! Summertime is wonderful for going out and exploring, but it's also a great time to establish good organizational habits. Instead of the peaks and valleys of messy and clean up, build a couple of regular clean up times into your child’s day. You could institute a “morning pick-up” time: She must put away her pajamas and straighten her comforter. “Afternoon pick-up” would involve putting away the morning’s toys she’s done with. Less mess to clean up every day means more time for adventures!
