Bead-Counting Project

Little kids love to thread beads onto yarn or string. The next time you sit your child down to make her latest bead creation, turn it into a math project. She can count as she strings beads, or create a pattern (another foundational math concept), such as blue, red, blue, red. Or, once she’s done, she can total up different styles or colors of beads.
