Bang a Gong!

Here’s how you can make a gong for your child. Got an empty cereal box? Cut the middle out of it, so you have a standing frame for your gong. Take an aluminum pie pan (the disposable kind) and cut a small hole in the side, and tie a string on it. Hang your pie-pan gong through a hole in the top of the cereal box. Stick a wine cork onto the point of a pencil or the tines of a fork, and now your child has a “beater” for the gong!
