Balloon Painting

Set out shallow dishes of tempera paint. Get a bunch of regular balloons, and blow them up, but not all the way, and tie shut. Have your child hold the balloons by the knot and dip into the paint, to press onto paper. She can make patterns, change colors, or create designs. Putting all different colors close together looks like a kaleidoscope.
