Avoid Ineffective Multi-tasking
Many working parents fall into the trap of thinking they can save time by multitasking. This practice has drawbacks, though, especially if you’re trying to do two physical tasks. For example, don’t iron your blouse while preparing your baby’s bottles for daycare; something will get burned or forgotten! That said, you can do two tasks if only one requires physical attention. For instance, put on a phone headset and return that call to your mother while you’re ironing or packing bottles.
